Umthunzi Boutique Hotel is an excellent choice if you wish for luxury by the seaside. I was welcomed by Cornel van zyl the manager and shown to a beautiful room sea-facing. The hotel is a stone throw away from the beach and it catered for my every need. I was impressed at the cleanliness and neatness of the hotel. My bedroom was tastefully decorated which made me feel very comfortable. The friendly hotel staff where very
accommodating.Loved the fresh fruit that was provided for breakfast,there was also a hot breakfast available which was great. It was a fabulous getaway.

An Excellent upmarket luxury Boutique Hotel. Very Clean, neat and tidy. The friendly Hosts Cornel and Anri van Zyl always go the extra mile to accomodate all their guests requirements. The staff are very friendly and always obliging. The Honeymoon suite is excellent. The full English breakfast is very scrumptious.

I had the priviledge of spending a weekend and Umthunzi Boutique Hotel and have to admit the place delivered way above my expectations. The accomodations were luxurious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfasts was delicious and I definitely put on a few extra pounds by overeating.

The Hosts at Umthunzi were exceptional trying to cater to our every whim and fancy and we felt like we were family instead of just guests.

I have stayed at a number of hotels, lodges and resorts over the years and Umthunzi Boutique Hotel has surpassed them all, in making my stay enjoyable and comfortable.

Excellent boutique hotel, which offers more than one could imagine. the staff are incredible, they are very efficient. The hotel itself will take you breath away with its splendid views.

The rooms are very comfortable, with no expense spared on luxury. the beds are big and the duvet and pillows will make you think twice about getting up.

One will find multiple proper lighting with aircon and ceiling fan facilities they even installed a safe for your valuables.. the bathroom is spacious and well equipped with the latest taps and showers. Really a pleasure to step in to a shower which looks good and feels even better.

The management were exceptional, they made sure our stay was perfect in every way. I felt like royality with all my requests being sorted out in the most efficient manner.
There is also sufficient parking and the pool and bar area compliments each other with making your stay more refreshing.

Well done Cornel and Anri and staff on maintaining a well run boutique hotel, I would definately come back to stay anytime and would also advise other to do so.

A tranquil, pleasant vocational accommodation with friendly hosts, our stay on both holidays at Umthunzi Boutique Hotel will always be remembered. A short stroll left then right not far off is the beach where you can spend the entire day with the family be it swimming, fishing or just relaxing. We will most certainly be back there.

I have had the pleasure of this hospitality twice over the past two years and must say I was blown away by the quality of service, not to mention the facilities available.

Management have far exceeded the required duties of such an establishment, and need to be thoroughly commended for their service delivery.

Will certainly be making another trip there in the coming year!

I had the pleasure of staying here a few weeks back and was completely blown away with the warmth of the hotel and hotel staff. It was incredibly relaxing and serene and just what my family and myself needed to unwind and recharge. I would suggest this place to anyone and everyone wishing to get away from it all. The service, the room, the communal space, the breakfast…everything was nothing short of 5 star luxury. Im already planning another holiday back here!!
