Settled right in the heart of the South Coast of Kwa Zulu Natal is a picturesque beach restaurant and bar… Riptide restaurant is situated on the Main beach of Southbroom. An hour and a half’s drive from Durban and 7km north of San Lameer.

Riptide restaurant was established in 1960. It is a fully licensed restaurant with award winning wines. We specialize in seafood, of the highest quality. If seafood is your first choice, a seafood platter for 2 is a must.

We also cater for the carnivores and serve AAA grade fillet steaks, T-bones, porterhouse steak and rump. Curry is also a HOT favourite and is based on an Indian recipe. Vegetarians are catered for – we serve a vegetarian platter and vegetarian burgers.

We cater for weddings and functions offering a variety of menus to choose from. No venue fee will be charged for groups of 50 guests or more if you require the venue for yourself. Discounted rates are offered for large groups. Our well trained staff will give you world class service. There is a large secure parking area and we are wheelchair friendly. In a rush, we will make your life easy with a take-away meal.
