Crocworld

Crocworld is not just a crocodile farm, it is a complete wildlife experience offering a range of displays and activities to suit all age groups.

Crocworld is situated in Scottburgh which is ideally located between Margate and Durban on the N2, it is only a 40 minute drive from Durban and approximately a 60 minute drive from Margate.

Crocworld really is the complete wildlife experience, upon arrival you are greeted by the Curio Shop which is filled with unique curios, clothing, books and crocodile leather accessories, once you enter the park you will be greeted by the majestic and evocative sound of Isis our resident African Fish Eagle. During your visit to Crocworld you will encounter 10 of South Africa’s deadliest snakes and include snakes such as the Black Mamba and Boomslang which are all found within our exiting snake tunnel, you will be intrigued by our critter room where we have the Giant Bullfrog and creepy Tarantula’s. Whilst walking through our park you will be amazed by the breath taking view of the Indian Ocean, beautiful indigenous trees and gardens and chattering sounds of the large number of indigenous birds which nest throughout the 24 hectare park.

Crocworld has a number of main attractions which include the Flamingo wetland walk, where there are a large variety of duck species; the Georges Jungle House Aviary is a wonderful walk through aviary where you are able to get close up photographs of the Pink Back Pelican and various other birds; the Raptor Wing which has a variety of Hawks, Buzzards and Owl Species. Henry the Nile Crocodile is said to be one of the oldest Nile Crocodiles in captivity he is over 100 years old and weighs 750kg is a definite must see during your visit.

Crocworld offers an educational crocodile talk during feeding time; the talk takes place daily at 11:00 AM and again at 15:00PM however there is no feeding or talk on Mondays out of season. Crocworld also caters for children with a lovely children’s animal farm and play area.

Crocworld has a beautiful conference center, wedding venue, children’s party venue and restaurant equipped with a play area.
