Umdlalo Lodge established in 2004 was created with the idea of providing an upmarket accommodation, plus a first class restaurant and conference facilities with a difference.

Situated in Umtentweni, north of Port Shepstone, Umdlalo Lodge is easily accessible from the N2 Toll Road and within walking distance from the Umtentweni main beach. It is in easy reach of excellent shopping complexes at Shelly Beach and South Coast Mall and well placed to all the south coast’s magnificent golf courses.

The lodge boasts eight luxurious air-conditioned en suite twin rooms, catering for the needs of holidaying families and business representatives. In addition we have a spacious, comfortable, air-conditioned romantic honeymoon suite.

Umdlalo Lodge is home to the well-known highly recommended ZiZi’s Restaurant where dining is an experience and offers an a la carte dinner menu.

Umdlalo Lodge can host day conferences in the main and private dining room with seating for up to 60 delegates and we specialise in catering for smaller and more intimate conferences with specific needs.

Our stylish ladies bar lounge, with its unique decor, and our expansive verandah with magnificent sea views, has become a popular venue for business meetings and social get togethers.

The Lodge can easily be converted into a venue for unforgettable weddings, special birthday celebrations, private functions and corporate launches – incorporating the luscious gardens and well-established trees.

Directions to Umdlalo Lodge / ZiZi’s Restaurant

• From Durban take the N2 to the South Coast.
• Travel past Scottburgh, past Hibberdene (staying on the Toll Road)
• Take the first Port Shepstone North / St Faiths off ramp.
• There is a Toll Fee payable at the Toll Gate
• After the Toll Gate, turn left and travel approx. 4 km to the traffic lights.
• At this intersection cross straight over traffic lights and you will find the lodge on the Left hand side of the road approx. 200m from the intersection.
